The Consignment Bar carries trendy, gently-worn clothing, shoes, jewelry, bags, and accessories for men and women — now in the heart of downtown Benton.
Bring in your in-season pieces and once they sell, you'll earn 50% of the profit as store credit (or a check, any time). Items rotate through pricing tiers over 100 days, and anything left after that goes to local charities, shelters, and churches — so nothing goes to waste.
The Consignment Bar's roots go back to 1981, when it first opened as Barbara's Resale. Owner Maddy Alarcon's mother-in-law took over the shop in 2016, and Maddy worked alongside her off and on for years before taking the reins herself in 2022. After quickly outgrowing the original space, she moved the store to Downtown Benton and gave it a full rebrand — and The Consignment Bar was born.
Maddy has been married to her husband, Easton, since 2019, and the two share an Aussiedoodle named Dior. She's quick to credit the shop's growth to the employees, customers, and consignors who've supported it along the way — every item brought in and every purchase made has helped build what The Consignment Bar is today.
